International Week, Colorado Springs, USA

From September 21 to 25, 2026, a delegation from ‘Henri Coandă’ Air Force Academy, comprising Col Prof Adrian Lesenciuc, PhD (Vice-Rector for Science and Informatization), and cadets Cosmin Cornea, Vlad Ilie, and Daria-Teodora Mihalache, participated in the 26th edition of the International Week organized by the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Delegations from Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Georgia, Germany, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Tunisia attended the event. The program included joint activities held at the Academy and Davis Airfield, as well as an official gift exchange with the Superintendent of the United States Air Force Academy, Lt-Gen Paul Moga, which took place following the formal dinner. Mr. Gentry B. Stephens, Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs, was also invited to the event as a keynote speaker.

The participation of the delegation from ‘Henri Coandă’ Air Force Academy at its counterpart institution in the United States contributed to the intensification of bilateral relations between the two institutions ant to the strengthening or establishment of new connections with other similar military higher education institutions invited in the International Week.

At the conclusion of the event, members of the delegations from the nineteen participating states were congratulated by LtCol Philip Tice, Director of International Programs at the United States Air Force Academy.
