The 5th edition of the international Space and Defence Seminar, hosted by French Air and Space Force Academy in Salon-de-Provence, France

Between May 12–14, 2025, a delegation from “Henri Coandă” Air Force Academy — composed of two cadets and a military instructor — participated in the fifth edition of the international Space & Defence seminar, hosted by French Air and Space Force Academy in Salon-de-Provence, France.

The event brought together leading experts in the military space domain, representatives of NATO, the French and U.S. Space Forces, European space industry leaders, and international delegations.

Key topics covered during the seminar included:

Space operations and security;
U.S. Space Force strategy and future challenges;
The role of the NATO Space Centre of Excellence;
Innovation and the future of the space industry;
The “DIAMANT-X” exercise — an interactive strategic game focused on countering emerging space threats.

The participation of our Academy’s representatives provided valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities of the space defence domain, while fostering knowledge exchange and strengthening international cooperation.
